Brambles sells Cleanaway UK for $1.1 billion

Brambles Industries Ltd. of Australia is to sell its subsidiary Cleanaway U.K. of the United Kingdom for 595 million Pounds ($1.1 billion) to Veolia Environnement S.A. of France. Brambles Industries Ltd. will return approximately $4 billion Australian Dollars or $3 billion United States Dollars to shareholders after the deal.
