Building for a Peopld's Opera

Article Abstract:

Opera is very popular in today's society, and even though more opera buildings are needed, it has taken 12 years to start the redevelopment of the Royal Opera House (ROH) in London, due to adverse public pressure groups. The expensive ROH seats are the subject of much strife, since they can only be afforded by a wealthy minority. The site of the opera house is under review although a replacement building is proving difficult to find. A temporary one may have to be located before a permanent solution is resolved.
