Building in use: A winning combination?

Article Abstract:

English Partnerships was involved in the Greenwich Millennium Village project in Greenwich, England, that included the setting up of the 3,101 square meter Millennium School, a primary school, and 1,349 square meter health center. The project's architectural design was carried out by Edward Cullinan Architects. How the facilities have been operating a year after the project was finished is discussed.

Article Abstract:

The Campus is located on the eastern outskirts of Weston-super Mare within an area called Locking Castle, the largest housing development in Europe. The Campus presented David Morley Architects with the challenge of combining a primary school, community use and a school for children with severe learning difficulties all in the same building.

The after-school club for Ryvers Primary School in Slough, Berkshire, an adaptable construction by Architect 3W, for use by students of different age-groups and educational requirements, is described. The prefabrication methods are employed to meet restricted deadlines.
