Buyouts check the continental drift

Article Abstract:

In 1995, the number of buyout deals completed in continental Europe fell to 382, from 413 in 1994, according to 'Initiative Europe'. Total deal value also declined to 3.6 billion pounds sterling, from 4.6 billion pounds in 1994. However, it is suggested that the European market has remained stable between 1991 and 1995; and the significant drop from 1994 is accounted for by an extraordinarily high level of transactions for that year.
