CKD's vehicles in Manilla
Article Abstract:
CKD Dopravni systemy (Prague, Czech Republic), railway car manufacturer, participated in the realization of a project on the light railway transport MRT-3 in Manilla, the Philippines. The firm supplied 73 three-unit tramway cars RT8D5 of the type LRV worth a total of more than USD 100 mil for a transport system in Manilla. The system was commissioned at the end of Jul 2000. The vehicles were manufactured, tested and supplied during 1998-2000.

Remote control corridor cruising

Zenith Datasystems Inc. has introduced a new remote control device which allows users to control a laptop or desktop computer while moving within a 500-ft. radius. Called CruisePad, the device features an LCD panel and a radio-based transmitter receiver which is directly linked to the computer.
