PSI NET ZOOMS, TO PAY 5% DIVIDEND

PSI Data has posted a net profit of Rs5.77 crore for the year ended December 31, 1998, a 236 percent increase over the net profit of Rs1.72 crore in 1997. The company has recommended a 5 percent dividend after a period of 11 years. Its total income grew to Rs41.32 crore from Rs32.24 crore while income from operations grew to Rs40.28 crore from Rs31.15 crore. The company has registered a net profit of Rs2.20 crore on a total income of Rs11.76 crore in the fourth quarter ended December 31, 1998 against a net profit of Rs51 lakh on an income of Rs8.88 crore in the fourth quarter of 1997. HCL INSYS POSTS RS14.88-CR NET

HCL Infosystems Limited (HCL Insys) has recorded five- fold increase in net profit at Rs14.88 crore for the second quarter ended December 31, 1998. The turnover for the period was Rs227.56 crore. The company had recorded profit of Rs2.66 crore and sales revenue of Rs144.93 crore during the second quarter of 1997-98. The company's profit and turnover thus stood at Rs26.88 crore and Rs439.5 crore respectively for the first half of 1998-99. (um)
