KPN dismisses talk it will sell German, Belgian assets

KPN NV denied that it is planning to divest assets in Belgium and Germany. The company also implied that a rights issue may be launched soon in order to lower its debt, valued at 23.2 billion euros.

Cecchi Gori may sell TV stakes to News Corp., Telecom Italia

Cecchi Gori Group SpA announced that it is engaged in negotiations with News Corp. and Telecom Italia SpA to sell parts of its two television channels. Such a deal would mean a major step toward reorganizing one of the largest media groups in Europe.
