China Unicom airs details of its IPO in a road show

China Unicom Ltd. is planning to raise as much as $4 billion (4.29 billion euros) in an initial public offering (IPO) in New York and Hong Kong in June 2000. China Unicom is the second-largest telephone firm in China.
