Northeast Electric Transmission and Transformation Equipment (Nette) aims to raise some $65 million by selling a 30% stake. Daiwa Securities will sponsor the issue. This is the second company from China which plans a listing in Hong Kong in 1995, the first being Jilin Chemical Industrial Co. Nette forecasts a rise in profit of 57% for 1995 and should benefit from rising demand for electricity in China. Part of the funds raised will be used to repay loans from banks and employees.
