Citizens get more radical

Article Abstract:

Ronal CR (Jicin, Czech Republic), automotive component manufacturer, is building a new shower-corner production hall in Jicin. The hall should be commissioned in Jul 2001. Ronal CR's hitherto annual production volume was 1.8 mil light alloy wheels for the automotive industry. The firm has 600 employees. About 80% of the firm's wheel production are exported to nine world automotive companies. On the domestic market, the largest consumer of the firm's products is the automotive company Skoda Auto (Mlada Boleslav, Czech Republic). Ronal was to produce light alloy wheels in Hradec Kralove, the Czech Republic. The investment costs on the project were to be CEK 100 mil. The project has been stopped owing to the protests of the public and will be transferred to another locality. Industrial zones in Pardubice, Most and Chrudim, all Czech Republic, are in the shortest list for the realization of the investment.

Onamba invests in Olomouc

Article Abstract:

Onamba (Japan), electronic firm, will build a new electronic component production plant in Olomouc, the Czech Republic. The construction of the plant should be started during 1H 2001. The plant will employ 150 persons after its completion. Besides, another 150 persons will work for the firm at home. The plant will manufacture bunched cables and ignition coils.

Senior Flexonics will start production in Olomouc at the end of 2001

Article Abstract:

Senior Flexonics (SF) (UK), manufacturer of flexible pipes for the automotive industry, plans to start production in Olomouc, the Czech Republic, at the end of 2001. The production will begin at a new CEK 190 mil plant, the construction of which SF started in Mar 2001. SF is a prominent manufacturer in its field in the UK.
