Bill Clinton's economic team seems to favor interventionist industrial policies, as opposed to the free market Republican approach. Interventionists believe they are taking the more pragmatic view, but in reality governments fail more often than markets.

No need for a boost

Article Abstract:

The US economy does not require any incentives to climb out of the recession because the economy is already growing at a decent pace. Clinton and his advisors feel that the growth is not fast enough and are worried about rising unemployment figures.
