Comair to cut jobs, fleet

Comair Inc. announced that it will downsize its labor force and reduce its fleet by 14% or 17 aircraft. The carrier, citing the financial pressures caused by a strike, will layoff approximately 200 of its 1,350 pilots.

Delta, pilots work to avoid strike by resuming talks

Delta Air Lines and the Air Line Pilots Association announced they will restart negotiations over a labor settlement. The move will avoid the possibility of a strike, the rumors of which were hurting Delta's business.
