Combat radios for NZ Army

Article Abstract:

ITT has received a contract from the New Zealand Army and Air Force to deliver 700 PRC-119F man-portable, VRC-90F single-mount and VRC-92F dual- mount vehicle model Advanced Systems Improvement Program SINCGARS VHF radios. The country's Army and Air Force also have contracted Harris Corp to deliver RF-5800 HF and PRC-117F dual-band HF/VHF radios, and 700 Racal PRC_148 MBITR hand-held radios.

US Army upgrades LMST

Article Abstract:

Harris Government Communications Div has been awarded a $7.5-million contract modification by the US Army's Communications-Electronics Command to build the Block 5 version of the Lightweight Multiband Satellite Terminal. The Block 5 terminal, an enhanced version of the Block 4, is based on a VME commercial processing architecture and can receive Ka-band signals.

Thomson-CSF Comsys has received a contract from the DGA Defense Procurement Agency to supply the first phase of the Aristote communications network for the French Armed Forces. The required broadband architecture should comply with industry standards and support Tactical Internet applications as well as conventional voice, telegraph, fax and data traffic.
