Commerce Asset's investors trust merger guarantees

Article Abstract:

Commerce Asset Holding's share price has significantly increased because of investors' positive expectations on the acquisition of Bank Bumiputra by its subsidiary Bank of Commerce. Commerce Asset investors believe that they will benefit from the merger because the Malaysian government has guaranteed all bad loans of Bank Bumiputra that will surface during the first 18 months. Economic analysts believe that Commerce Asset's share price will continuously soar once investors feel that the restructured management team of the merged banks looks efficient.
