Competition in the U.S. pushes Digital China up the value chain

Digital China Holdings wants to expand beyond its computer distribution business in response to strong competition from US-based Ingram Micro. The company wants to expand its higher-margin services like systems-integration. Digital China Holdings reported a net profit of HK$80.8 million on revenue of HK$4.93 billion for the six months ending September 30.
