Constructing an indoor waterfall

Article Abstract:

Interior designer, Technical Landscapes has designed an internal waterfall in the atrium of a seven-story office building. Planters Hall, London, England is a speculative development with a separately air conditioned atrium. The waterfall is constructed from artificial stone with pools leading to the main drop. Purified water is pumped through the system through a number of conduits. The tiered plantings have to be completely waterproof to prevent water entering the offices below. The technically complex waterfall gives a restfully atmosphere to the building.

Learning services

Article Abstract:

Conferences enable associations to discuss relevant research work and highlight practice problems. UK architect associations do not use conference to further knowledge and learning, through the discussion of research. Energy reductions can be explored by research into normal buildings, which then highlight topics to be covered through discussion and development. Architectural research can be undertaken using a method called PROBE.
