Dell Inc. of the United States is facing a crisis in management focus as sales are down. The computer giant sells via the Internet and over the phone, however the laptop market is increasingly driven by consumers (rather than the business market) who prefer hands on experience in selecting their purchase, prefering retail stores.

H-P net soars, but pressure for sales gains rises

Article Abstract:

Hewlett-Packard Co. of the United States posted soaring fourth quarter earnings up by 400 percent with revenue increases of 7.2 percent. Projected revenue for 2007 is expected to be approximately $97 billion, an increase from $91.7 billion in 2006. New Chief Executive Officer Mark Hurd has introduced a restructuring plan.
