Containers from Uherske Hradiste
Article Abstract:
Algeco Holding (AH) (Germany), investment company, will invest 90 mil Kc in the production of dwelling containers in the Czech Republic. Currently, AH is reconstructing a plant in Uherske Hradiste, the Czech Republic, for the production. AH bought the premises from Colorlak (Uherske Hradiste, Czech Republic). The firm should employ 60-70 persons for the production of the containers, which can be utilised as mobile offices or dressing rooms. The majority of the production should be exported to the European Union. AH is a part of the concern Preussag (Germany).

Fabrics manufacturer Pindler & Pindler Inc. reported a high growth rate in 1994 and 1995 that may have been driven by the company's commitment to product development. Pres. Curt Pindler takes prime interest in searching for manufacturing and design trends by travelling widely and researching for new types of materials, colors and weaving techniques. The company is planning to produce upholstery fabrics using European mills as well as fabrics with designs based on antique patterns.

Truce agreed in civil war

The Mozambique National Resistance and the leftist government in Mozambique agreed to a truce in the civil war on Aug 7, 1992. The parties will sign a formal treaty to end hostilities on Oct 1, 1992.
