Enron Corp., Boeing Co., Caterpillar Inc. and other major firms have begun pressuring lawmakers from both political parties to preserve the budget of the United States Export-Import Bank. The Coalition for Employment through Exports is speaheading the lobbying effort.

Tactical issues drive Pentagon to reconsider cluster bombs

Article Abstract:

More cluster bombs than expected were left unexploded in Iraq by the U.S. military during the 2003 invasion of the Middle Eastern nation. The bombs have killed numerous civilians, causing the Pentagon to review how the weapons are utilized.

New Iraq currency set

Article Abstract:

A new monetary currency will be established in Iraq by the U.S. occupation authorities. The new dinar currency will no longer have the image of former president Saddam Hussein on it.
