Credit Suisse Group posted an improvement of 11% in its net profits for the first-half of 1999. However, the company cautioned that growth in earnings could slow in the current period as a result of a negative financial market environment. Credit Suisse posted 2.67 billion Swiss francs (1.67 billlion euros) in net profits for the first-half period. During the same period in 1998, the company posted 2.4 billion francs.
