Credits for the improvement of the conditions of travelling and the modernization of corridors

Article Abstract:

Ceske drahy (CD) (Prague, Czech Republic), Czech Railways, has received three new credits for the setting up of transport infrastructure and the improvement of travelling conditions. Komercni banka (KB) (Prague, Czech Republic) will grant a credit of CEK 2.5 bil, which will finance the development programme of the revitalization of CD's fleet and the growth of the standard of travelling conditions. Another credit of CEK 2 bil granted by KB is intended for the modernization of the first transit railway corridor (TRC). CD will receive a credit of EUR 160 mil, about CEK 5 bil, from the European Investment Bank for the financing of the modernization of the second TRC. The modernization of the first TRC, the state border with Austria-Breclav-Ceska Trebova-Decin-the state border with Germany, should be completed in 2002. The main volume of construction jobs on the second TRC, the state border with Austria-Breclav-Prerov-Ostrava-the state border with Poland, should be completed in 2003. The modernization of the branch connection of the second TRC Prerov-Ceska Trebova should be completed in 2005.

Zetor Brno wants to re-start series production

Article Abstract:

Zetor (Brno, Czech Republic), tractor manufacturer, should produce 2,800 tractors by the end of 2000, according to the volume of orders. The firm needs finances for the re-start of its series production. The state bank Konsolidacni banka (Czech Republic) should grant a credit of 700 mil Kc to Zetor in the middle of 2000. Zetor, which has had economic troubles since 1999, has more than 1,300 employees in 2000. The firm has debts of 200 mil Kc for wages to its employees in the middle of 2000.

The record firm CAC Leasing

Article Abstract:

CAC Leasing (CACL) (Prague, Czech Republic), leasing company, took the first position among strong leasing competitors in the Czech Republic in 1999. The firm ensured new investments worth 11.9 bil Kc for its clients in 1999. CACL is the largest leasing company on the Czech market with a 15% share, according to the total value of leased products recorded in its property. The value is 19.3 bil Kc.
