Cumis ad takes pets for ride

Article Abstract:

The Cumis Group has rolled out an integrated direct marketing campaign for its pet health insurance line. The marketing campaign will use humor to promote PetPlus Insurance, featuring people on a roller coaster with a clearly terrified dog and cat seated up front. The campaign also calls for the placement of posters at all branches of Coast Capital Savings Credit Union. Cumis also sent out direct-mail pieces to 100,000 members of the credit union as part of a 60-day pilot program.

Mike's Hard tries life outdoors

Article Abstract:

Great West Distillers has launched an outdoor advertising campaign for its Mike's Hard Lemonade brand. The campaign will include posters and a new wrap on downtown Toronto's SilverBox garbage canisters. It will focus on backlights, transit shelters and walls located near bars and club districts in Toronto, Calgary, Vancouver and Edmonton. Great West spent C$1.9 million on advertising Mike's Hard Lemonade brand in 2000, according to ACNielsen.

Blue Cross aims to revive awareness

Article Abstract:

Ontario Blue Cross is rebuilding its brand awareness among travelers via a C$1-million campaign for its Summer-time Blue Travel Insurance Plan. Asixde from transit and print ads, the campaign for the low-premium plan also features Web branners directing consumers to the Blue Cross Web site at www.useblue.com. Ontario Blue Cross will carry out the campaign until November 1999.
