Deepak Nitrite Ltd has achieved a turnaround by posting a net profit of Rs5.84 crore for 1997-98. The company has recommended a dividend of 18 percent for the year. The company had modernised its nitrite division in 1997-98 and earned an increased turnover from its nitroaromatics division. DGP WINDSOR BACK IN THE BLACK

Article Abstract:

DGP Windsor India Ltd (DWIL) has posted a 20 percent increase in sales to Rs120 crore for the year ended June 1998. It has posted a net profit of Rs2 crore (net loss of Rs2.91 crore in 1996-97). Its exports generated Rs42 crore in 1997-98 (Rs27 crore). DWIL produces plastic machinery with a market share of 80 percent. It had undertaken a restructuring by reducing costs, inventories and employees to improve its performance. It has an alliance with the Sumitomo group of Japan for its machine making technology. (rk)

DEEPAK FERTILISERS DEBENTURE

The LA+ rating assigned to the Rs100 crore debenture issue of Deepak Fertilisers and Petrochemicals Corporation has been upgraded by Icra to LAA-. Expected improvements in profitability of the fertiliser business due to the recent changes in the pricing structure for phosphatic fertilisers has been factored in the upgrading. (khr)
