DENMARK: CARLSBERG VALUED AT US$1.1BN

Article Abstract:

Interbrand in London, US Citigroup and Business Week have included Carlsberg, the brewing company, in the list of the world's most valuable brands. Carlsberg ranks 97th in the list and is valued at US$1.1bn. Two other brewers were included in the list i.e. Guinness (94th) and Heineken (82nd). The criteria Business Week cites for including Carlsberg in the list are "the growth in the brewing company's international investments, which has helped to raise Carlsberg's profile on new markets". Coca-Cola remains the No.1 company in the list. The brands are valued according to the same principles as used by stock market analysts.
