DENMARK: FIBERTEX TO INVEST IN PRODUCTION LINE

Article Abstract:

The Danish company Fibertex, Aalborg, has won all major nappy producers as clients; the most recent one is SCA Molnlycke. Two years ago, the company invested DKr 285mn (USD 39mn) in modernising its fibre production; now another DKr 225mn will be invested in a new production line as capacity is fully utilised. In future, Fibertex is planning to expand abroad through establishing new plants in southern Europe and, possibly, Asia. To be able to make future investments, the company will either be quoted on the stock exchange or sold off in a few years' time. By now, Fibertex is 48% owned by the Danish trading company East Asian Company (EAC/OK).
