DENMARK: PARALLELL IMPORTS OF ARIEL

Article Abstract:

FDB, the major Danish retailer, will start parallel imports of the washing detergent Ariel from Sweden next week. The reason behind this is that the producer Procter & Gamble doesn't agree to deliver a version of the product eco-labelled "The Swan". According to Procter & Gamble, conventional Ariel is as eco-friendly as the eco-labelled version of it. The production of the eco-labelled version is a test, and Procter & Gamble says it has proved expensive and not beneficial to the environment.
