DENMARK: PUBLIC SECTOR PUTS PRESSURE ON TELECOMS

Article Abstract:

The public sector in Denmark puts pressure on telecom operators to an increasing extent. The county council of Sonderjylland (southern Jutland) has changed operators to Telia from Tele Danmark, and several other county councils are reconsidering their choice of operator in order to obtain favourable telephone costs and connections. However, Sonderjyllands Amts is the only county council out of, in all, 14 which doesn't use Tele Danmark's services. Fyns Amts has decided to change back to Tele Danmark after having used Telia for a period.

Denmark: TDC faces claims for damages worth DKr350mn

Article Abstract:

TDC, the Danish telecoms company, is expected to receive claims for damages worth DKr350mn (US$42mn) from its corporate clients. The clients claim that they have paid surplus rates for the lease of TDC's powerful data communications lines. TDC has not offered to refund the surplus prices it charge from its clients on a voluntary basis, which has now resulted in companies taking legal measures against TDC.

DENMARK: AGREEMENT BETWEEN MOBILIX AND TD

Article Abstract:

The Danish operator Mobilix has signed an agreement with Tele Danmark (TD), the Danish telecom, about access to Tele Danmark's cables to consumers. Several other telecom companies signed agreements with Tele Danmark already in April, but Mobilix didn't accept the conditions. MD Monique Moulle-Zetterstrom of Mobilix is not satisfied with the conditions this time either, but says the company had no choice.
