Danone files suit in U.S. over ventures in China

Article Abstract:

France-based Danone Group has filed a U.S. lawsuit alleging that two individuals and two firms are violating a noncompetition clause in the bottling and selling of beverages in China. Hangzhou Hongsheng Beverage Co. and Ever Maple Trading Ltd., which is registered in Los Angeles, California, are named in the suit. The names of the two individuals were not disclosed.

Louis Vuitton loses fight over Sunday store hours

Article Abstract:

Louis Vuitton S.A. of France has been overruled by a French judge. The art gallery on the top floor of the Paris flagship store does not qualify the boutique as a "cultural space" and thus Sunday shopping is not allowed. Louis Vuitton S.A. is a unit of French luxury goods producer LVMH Moet Hennessy Louis Vuitton S.A.

Faurecia CEO quits amid scandal

Article Abstract:

Chief Executive Pierre Levi, Faurecia of France has resigned amidst allegations that employees of the French automaker bribed managers of German automakers. Mr. Levi issued a statement saying he was aware there may have been irregularities with employees since 2001 although he was not responsible for them.
