Danone's Polish unit recalls dessert

Article Abstract:

Groupe Danone's unit in Poland is recalling up to 70 metric tons of a cheese dessert product that was manufactured in Poland. Health inspectors in Poland determined that product samples showed mold had penetrated into the dessert. Danone claims that the mold is not harmful to people. No illnesses have been reported as a result of the mold. The samples are currently being tested by Danone.

Poland to open license tender for phone service

Article Abstract:

Poland is planning to launch a license tender for long-distance telephone service within the country. The tender will be launched by the end of September 1999. Licenses will be awarded to three entities by the early part of 2000. Bidders will be given six weeks to place their bids. The bids must be a minimum of 23 million euros.
