Data signal a continued demand for French industrial products

Article Abstract:

The demand for industrial products manufactured in France is expected to remain in creditable levels during the third quarter of 1998, according to a study conducted by the National Statistics Institute. The same study pointed out that demand for industrial products will remain strong despite the weakening of demand in the first half of 1998. The agency's survey also revealed that prices for the third quarter will be lower than expected, but the decline is relatively insignificant compared to previous quarters.
