Deal size rising in the Northwest

Article Abstract:

There has been a strong rise in the number of acquisition and merger deals in the city of Manchester, England, and the north west of England as a whole over recent years. There is considerable confidence in the market, and the actual outcome of deals seems to be justifying this. The average deal size has risen significantly, and management buy-ins are also becoming more common. The most significant deal recently was the management buyout of JR Crompton from De La Rue, worth 100 million pounds sterling.
