Denmark: US terrorist attacks affect Aarhus Olie

Article Abstract:

MD Erik Hojsholt of Aarhus Olie, the Danish producer of vegetable oils and speciality fats, says yesterday's terrorist attacks in the USA will have a negative effect on the operations at the group's plant in the USA - at least in the short term as the transport of goods to and away from the factory is not possible and because of the closing down of airline activities in the country. Aarhus Olie had a DKr4.6bn (US$554mn) turnover in 2000 and its US operations accounted for DKr800mn of this.
