Denmark: Terma awarded order

Article Abstract:

The Danish defence technology company Terma was awarded an order worth DKr100mn(US$83) in connection with the Danish purchase of 14 EH101 attack helicopters. The order is from British-Italian company E.H.Industries Ltd. for development and production of composite and metal structures and electrical installations for the helicopters. The Danish company had a turnover of Dkr901 for 2000/01 and a profit of DKr44mn.

SCANDINAVIA: SAS TO INVEST SEK 4.5BN IN AIRCRAFT

Article Abstract:

Scandinavian Airlines, SAS, has decided to invest SEK 4.5bn (USD 0.5bn) in 12 new aircraft of the type Airbus. The aircraft will be used for flights in Scandinavia and Europe. In all, SAS will make purchases of new aircraft for nearly SEK 15bn, including even aircraft for intercontinental flights. SAS is able to finance the huge investments through a strong cash flow, totaling SEK 8bn, and open credits.

DENMARK/US: TERMA TO CO-OPERATE WITH LOCKHEED

Article Abstract:

A co-operation agreement is be signed between the Danish company Terma Elektronik and the American giant Lockheed Martin Corp. The agreement improves Terma's chances of participating in the development of Joint Strike Fighter (JSF), as well as the possibilities of exporting its own products. The Danish company has also signed an agreement with Boeing, which competes with Lockheed about the JSF project.
