Denmark:Thrane & Thrane reach agreement with Nera

Article Abstract:

Danish Thrane & Thrane have reached an agreement with Norwegian Nera following a due diligence procedure, according to which Thrane & Thrane will take over Nera's satellite communication operations for DKr285mn (US$34mn) in cash and a convertible bond of DKr215.7mn. The two companies are to set up a joint company, Broadband AS which is 2/3 owned by Nera and 1/3 by Thrane & Thrane. At the same time, Thrane & Thrane trims down its profit forecast for the present fiscal year ending on 30 April mainly because of the crisis in the US economy that has affected investments in the so-called aeronautic segment i.e. phones used by passengers onboard planes.
