Deutsche Bank to acquire aircraft leasing business

Article Abstract:

Deutsche Bank AG of Germany has bought Sumitomo Trust and Banking Co.'s aircraft leasing unit, Boullion Aviation Services Inc. Boullion has 46 planes, which are chiefly Boeing 737s. Boullion will retain its chief executive officer, Robert Genise, its company name, and its headquarters. The Boullion acquisition indicates Deutsche Bank's first move in venturing into the aircraft leasing industry. Deutsche Bank, for the last four years, preferred financing airplanes for major airlines, which has reached a total value of $8 billion, according to Deutsche Bank investment banker Chris Partridge.

Siemens buys Internet firm Redstone

Article Abstract:

Siemens AG said that it has reached an agreement to acquire Redstone Communications Inc. Siemens would not divulge the financial terms of the deal, However, a senior official with Siemens said that the deal could have a value of more than $450 million. Redstone is a manufacturer of routers which direct Internet traffic. The deal will strengthen Siemens' new data-networking unit in the US.
