Development of ASRAD-R gathers pace

Article Abstract:

STN Atlas Elektronik is planning to field test the ASRAD-R battlefield air defense system in Karlskoga, Sweden. The test, which will include four live RBS 70 rounds and two dummy rounds, will follow similar field trials of the German-Swedish defense system in Achim, Germany, in Dec 1998. The ASRAD-R, which is mounted on an M113 armored personnel carrier, is described as a more advanced system compared to the Bofors Missiles RBS 90 system.
