Lessons in space

Article Abstract:

Design Note 34 has been replaced with Area Guidelines for Schools. Statutory requirements have been removed with the Education (School Premises) Regulations, 1996. The guidance notes deal with gross areas, foundation of an accommodation time-table, teaching and non-teaching areas of both primary and secondary schools, and their grounds. Interestingly, these guidelines may be used in conjunction with the schools' curriculum, to institute a schedule of accommodation.
