Distance learning: linking the globe through education

Article Abstract:

The increasing demands of professional and personal life have made distance learning the only vehicle by which many senior executives can engage in continuing education. Distance education has become a trend of the times as well as a necessity prompted by geographical considerations and contemporary social demands. Corporations are increasingly prviding remote, computer-based and Internet-based education opportunities to their employees to enhance the functionality and flexibility of these staff.
