Dixons overhauls its structure to reflect business changes

Article Abstract:

Dixons Group PLC is reconfiguring its corporate structure in order to reflect the changes the company had undergone between 1994 and 1999. Dixons announced that it is forming three strategic business units. These units are Currys, PC World, and Dixons. Dixons is also creating Dixons Group Retail Property and Freeserve within the Dixons Group. The group's growth sectors have expanded in the last five years.

Georgia's three-year-old "Rose Revolution" is bringing change to the former Soviet republic, spurred by President Mikheil Saakashvili. If he succeeds in his economic reforms, Western countries will benefit from access to the oil and gas pipelines that pass through his country.
