Labor negotiations for wage increases have begun in Germany. Steel workers managed to negotiate a higher salary increase than expected, thus setting a trend for other industries. Higher wages will cause the Bundesbank to maintain or raise interest rates to avoid higher inflation.

Life insurance regulation is sure to increase in the UK because customer complaints rose by 41% in 1992. Fines have also been imposed for selling incorrect policies and offering misleading advertising. Banks have also gained market share in lifetime financial investments.
