Dresdner unit plans big cuts in operations

Dresdner Kleinwort Wasserstein intends to cut staff and operations outside Europe. The company is about to roll out a restructuring plan that will cut back activities outside of its core German and U.K. markets, concentrating on New York, Tokyo, and Hong Kong. The plan includes cutting more than 1,000 jobs.

DGBank tires to salvage plan for overseas operations
