EH looks into preserving buildings on computer

Article Abstract:

English Heritage has called on architects to record their buildings fully, in response to the Department of National Heritage's consultation document on listing. The governemnt has cut English Heritage's budget and feels that it will be forced to allow the demolition of some listed buildings due to lack of money. It feels that emerging technologies could be used including enshrining buildings in virtual reality.

The National Trust criticizes the Department of Culture, Media and Sport's heritage policy statement, claiming it does not address the VAT problems for history property repairs.
