EU competition chief faces questions

Article Abstract:

Neelie Kroes, the European Union's incoming competition regulator, will likely face some tough questioning regarding her business connections when she goes before the European Parliament for her confirmation hearing. She has stepped down from her positions on all corporate boards, but since she has yet to disclose her financial assets, there is concern that the lack of transparancy regarding her investment interests could potentially call into question the ethics of her regulatory decisions.
