The European Commission is developing a policy in regard to the oil market that will limit price volatility. The policies of the International Energy Agency providing a safety net against supply disruption are seen as not strong enough.

Energy agency calls for meeting on oil supplies

OPEC is urged not to cut output

Article Abstract:

Organization of Petroleum Exporting Countries (OPEC) is being asked by the International Energy Agency not to lower oil production. The OPEC is holding a meeting at which it will decide on oil production. Some ministers have raised concerns about a glut in the market and lower prices.
