Electronic transportation marketplaces: a transaction cost perspective

Article Abstract:

Research on Internet marketing of transportation services is presented, using an analytical framework based on transaction cost economics. The method renders the procurement process into a make-versus-buy scenario; the advantages and disadvantages of Internet transportation service marketing are then discussed.
