Envoy fires Stavenjord

Article Abstract:

Chris Stavenjord has been fired as president of Communique, the traditional advertising arm of Envoy Communications Group. Geoff Genovese, president of Envoy, said Stavenjord was eased out so that Envoy can strengthen its advertising network, which has lagged behind its retail branding and technology groups. Genovese added that Envoy will have a single brand for its advertising agency network, which will be achieved through several acquisitions.

Success...squared

Article Abstract:

Gilles Chouinard, creative director of Montreal advertising agency LG2, credits the success of the firm for its flexibility and the respect it shows to employees and clients. Its 1999 revenues stood at $3.86 million, 60% higher than its $2.42 million revenues at the end of 1997. Another factor in the agency's success is the hands-on style of management practiced by its partners. LG2 is the recipient of 2 Coq d' Awards for 2000.
