Excite will cease operations after AT&T withdraw bid

Excite@Home Corp. will terminate its operations on February 28, 2002, which is date when it will complete its contracts for continuing services to specific cable partners. The decision to close down follows AT&T Corp.'s dissolving of its $307 million network asset acquisition offer.
