Experiencing rapid continent-wide transformation

Article Abstract:

The global phenomenon of privatization has arisen because the alternatives cause failure and disappointment. The economies of Central Europe have been transformed by privatization, which has practical as well as ideological benefits. Privatization allows for private sector investment in previously monopolistic entities which then become competitive and have the ability to generate revenue in the form of taxes and encourage greater participation in a free-market economy.
