Detection rates accelerate

Article Abstract:

Hi-Energy Microdevices has developed an explosives detection device based on a faster version of neutron analysis technology. Neutron analysis-based detectors have gone out of favor because of their relatively slow speed. The company now claims its technique, Tagged Fast Neutron Analysis, can analyze the chemical components of a target substance in real-time. The company further claims that its device can identify 1 kg of concealed explosive from a distance of 1 meter within 1 second.
