Moscow plans new gateway

Moscow, Russia's Demodedovo Airport is about to commence international operations due to the efforts of the Eastline Group. Eastline was organized in 1995 when it chartered flights for what became Demodedovo Airlines for shopping tours and holiday services. It later acquired a long term lease for airport terminals, the fuel facilities, cargo terminal, technical base and a hotel. Eastline has since rebuilt and renovated the airport's terminal to a high international standard.

Moscow's new colours

Article Abstract:

Sheremetyevo Airport's return to profitability has allowed the Moscow airport to plan for its reconstruction and modernization. The rehabilitation of the airport's Terminal 1 would be completed before the end of 2000, which would have new check-in facilities, new domestic and international departure lounges and arrival areas and a new baggage system. The airport plans to rehabilitate Terminal 2 next and may build a new terminal.
